Who are we and why are we doing this?

We are Purple Penguin Productions, aka, Ma’am Karen and Bumper.
We are Leatherwomen from the Southeastern corner of Virginia, in an area called Hampton Roads.

We have been doing a great deal of traveling in the past several years, and we have met some pretty amazing people that have had a hard time fitting into the Leather scene. This is because their “identity” doesn’t fit neatly into a pre-determined box!

Some do not identify as male or female.
Some are gender fluid and go with what feels right to them, day to day.
And what about transfolx?
Where do all these Leatherfolx fit, in terms of Contests and Titles?

Most contests, not all, of course, are specific to gender and/or sexual identity, and that tends to leave a lot of REALLY good people out.  We saw a need, and we feel we have the desire, and the resources to put something really amazing out there for Virginia, and for those who want to represent an a MX title.
